Starter not working

I change my tranny & now my truck is not starting. Battery is good headlights horn works and still don't crank or the solinoid makes any cliking sound. Check where the yellow wire goes in solinoid it gets full voltage key on the purple is very dim with key all the way. I try this on all gears(prn123) Also I try to jump yellow side to purple and nothing happen. Don't know what else to check

Re: Starter not working

try jumping the purple to the battery cable. Jumping the purple to the yellow shouldn't do anything at all.
If it turns over with jumping battery cable to purple, then you have an issue somewhere between the key and the starter.

Re: Starter not working

if you have full voltage going in and out of the switch, then the problem is downstream of the switch.
After thinking about this some more, i wonder if the purple wire didn't get pinched between the engine and trans in the swap.
