Old school custom door handles on 67-72?
Ok, Im a little old(44), but not THAT old. But I have alot of memories from when I was a kid and there were alot of 40's and 50's trucks around, and I loved the outer door handles on those trucks where the whole handle turned like the handles on the interior. Heres the question...what do you guys think of the old school outer handles on our trucks? Anyone know of any custom handles?

That's not "old school", it's just a bad idea.

Do whatever makes you happy... But IMO, I feel these trucks deserve stock handles or to be shaved.

Yeah, it may be a bad idea, Im just trying to come up with something cuz I think a push button door handle is just stupid...and that is what was a bad idea. Hey CLEAR, how do the shaved handles work? Ive never looked into it.

Im pretty sure you could find some older outside door handles to help the lines of these trucks..

i say go for it it's good to be different. I seen and el camino at a local show a couple years back that had shaved door handles and in there place they had a recessed bowtie in the door skin it was neat

i think it would be really cool, im having different thoughts on my 67 if i wanna make it into a street truck which im considering now, or do i wanna make it a badass trail truck. if i decide to go with the street truck im gonna consider those door handles

Anybody put 90's style handles on. it would smooth the outside of the truck off and still have a working door handle

Or possibly shaved with the remote opener, but instead of having nothing there, make a custom handle that is only functional as something to grab so you dont have to touch the paint? Could make it any shape you want, out of any material you want.
