wouldnt an 8ohm sub be for in the house? I thought car subs where 4 ohm

nope not all, depends how you set them up in your truck.

i had three jl w6s which are 6 ohm dual voice coils. had them all together running at 1ohm. yes they were very very loud... too loud for me, i didnt need such a ghetto fabulous stereo so i sold them.

i understand all that i used to do stereo;s years ago it is all in how you wire your amps and speakers to figure your final ohm's your operating at i just thought they were all 4 ohm initially
