3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
I just looked at a Chevy bolt pattern chart & it showed that the 3/4 ton chevy truck in 67 had 6 lugs. Was this the stock option? The one I've seen had 8 lugs.

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
No, all 3/4 tons are 8 lug. It is only when GM decided to do light duty 3/4 ton trucks when the 6 lug come out as a 6 lug. WES

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
I'm thinking that it was first done on the 88-98 series, but I'm not sure if it was on the first year models?

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
I think it was toward the end of that generation.
I guess that isn't so "recent". Kinda sad I think of something from the late 90's as late model. |

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
I know some of the square bodies had the semifloating 14 bolt with the 6 lug pattern, is that a light 3/4 or a heavy 1/2? Anyways I agree 67 3/4 is 8 lug.

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
'88 was the first light duty 3/4t.They were sold as the 2500 with the 8-lug being sold as the heavy duty chassis option.I forget the code. These light 3/4 tons came with the 14-bolt semi-floater.These rears make a great replacement to the 6-lug 12-bolt.

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
were they still the square body? I know the 1/2 changed to the newer style, but were some of the 3/4's still the "classic" style?

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
All the light duty 3/4 tons I've seen were the newer body style, not square bodies

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
I'm talking about the new body '88 from late '87. I've never known of a square body 3/4t with 6-lugs. Once into the 80s it was more common to see 3/4 tons with semi-floating 14-bolts than full floating, but they were all 8-lug that I ever knew about.

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern

I've been paying attention to trucks a long time, though, and never saw such a thing. So I'm purdy dang sure. I was bigtime disappointed when I saw my first non-floating 8-lugger.

Re: 3/4 ton lug bolt pattern
6 lug axles (in square bodies) came on 1/2 ton 4 wheel drive trucks.
