Red face wide tire size???

Hey everyone! I have an 83 swb with a 96 lt1 & 4l60e trans. I currently have 15x8 rallies in the front and 15x10 in the rear. The rear tire size is 275/60/15. The truck is lowered and the tire tucks a little (had to pull the bed side/wheel wells) I really dont like how that tire size is "pulled" and was wondering if anyone knows whats the widest/lowest profile tire I can get on a 15x10? Also any sizes in between the 275/60/15 and the widest just to check out my options. Thanks and any info will be greatly appreciated.

Re: wide tire size???

How low is your truck in the back? Are you talking about having to pull the fender wells so it doesn't rub?

Re: wide tire size???

Yes, having to pull so it doesnt rub. It has a flip kit on the rear so I really dont know how low it is. Im guessing between 6 and 7 inches. I just want a wider and lower profile tire. Also the tire bubbles out on the sidewall like its pulled from the wheel thats the reason I want to find a different tire size maybe I can post some pics to help explain what I mean.

Re: wide tire size???

This is my 83 with a flip kit installed, rims are 15x9 with 275/50/15 TA's, a 295/50 on a 10" rim with a 5/5.5 BS should have no problems on the back, in the pic it looks like it would have tire rub but it clears the fender

Re: wide tire size???

Keep in mind the 295-50-15 is approx ~1.25" shorter than the current 275-60.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: wide tire size???

I run a 275/60/15 on mine, but the tire doesnt tuck up into the rear fender, if it did it looks like it would rub
