No offense taken, and you may very well be correct. Although I didn't rely on a simple Google search, I did several searches and came back with no hard hits as well.

Despite that I was still not convinced that the alleged company did not exist. I know from experience that a "business" can exist and not show up using the more common search methods.

Trust me, if the kid really did the work with some backyard buddies I'll be the first to persecute him for deception.

Re: Hack job......MUST SEE

I believe either it was an an elaborate hoax by the kid and the the shop that fixed it or it is true.

The shop that fixed it has a website http://www.kustomautotech.com and is about 10 miles from where S&S Customs was supposed to be located.

I doubt that someone who is in the business would not know someone who is familiar with a shop (even out of a garage) or know of them themselves.

They would have a better way of verifying the existance of the place without having to go to the internet. Plus, with the quality of work exhibited in the first part, i doubt they would be an established company with a location and a phone line.

Most likely some wannabes in a garage with a spray painted logo on the wall that use their personal cell phones. Kinda like me but I only screw up my own stuff....

What a mess! Kudos to the new shop for fixing it pretty much pro-bono. It sucks to see a kid taken advantage of, I think it's safe to say he's learning a lesson (I hope).

... or it was a helluva marketing ploy by the "repairing" shop in order to appear to be a "goody guy" ... ok, so I'm a pessimist.

If so, it worked. They are looking like the heroes here, but rightfully so. He's going the extra mile to take full advantage of the attention.

There were a couple of other posters that live in the area of KAT and S&S, They stated they knew of the place but as a house with some kind of junk used car lot in front and garage in the back not a "custom" shop. IMO, I agree with below....
