heater hoses

Does anyone have pics of the 2 hoses that come from your heater box? I need to know where they go to. 1 of them goes to my intake but where does the other go? There is a plug in the top of the water pump, would it go there?

This is a 350 from an 82 that is going in a 72
I posted it on the 67-72 board but I shoulda done it here. Here is a link to some pics

the one goes to either the intake or the waterpump the other one goes to theradiator. When i did my motor swap on the 86 i had to take out the one in the waterpump and replace it with a 1/2 inch plug ( i had one in the extra waterpump i had ont he truck i had to put it int he waterpump on the new motor. Make sure uf ya plug up that hole ya put some teflon tape on the threads before ya seal it

Yep, sometime, not sure exactly when it was they quit putting them on the intake and waterpump and started running the return hose to the radiator. I'm sure all you need to do is route yours over to the pump.

Does anyone know if it really makes a difference how you set it up? Sounds like 3 good ways to do it.

A buddy of mine just bought a 69 last night with a newer style 305 in it. His is routed from the heater box to the intake and the 2nd hose is from the heater box to the top of the water pump. So YES it will work. Thanks for all the replies guys!!
