Frame Mounted Fuel Filter on a 1967?

gcburdic and I stripped down a 1967 Chevrolet 2WD frame yesterday and noticed that there was a frame mounted fuel filter on the passenger side. Has anyone seen this before? Was this a year specific item? Thanks in advance!

That looks just like what I have been wanting to set up on my 68 burb, since it did not have one like that set up. Just filters in the engine bay, which I am not a huge fan of.

What is the diameter if the inlet/outlet? Since this is exactly what I want for my 68.

I will measure the inlet and outlet when I get home tonight and will let you know. Based on the pictures, I think it is 3/8" line with the same size NPT fittings. Here is a top view of the same part:

I was wrong about the size...it looks like it is 5/16" line on the inlet and outlet. I know the fuel filter is unusable, but do you think anyone would want the bracket?

My '67 has one of those fuel filters. You know the can part unscrews, and there is a replaceable filter element inside. The filter element is still available, too.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. I will have to clean it up and see if it will still come apart.
