Fender Interchangeability

I was just curious are all the fenders from 67-72 chevy truck interchangeable. Ive got a 71 gmc and im wondering which years will fit mine. Also are all doors interchangeable?

68-72 GMC or 68 Chevy will fit your GMC grille. 67 Chevy or GMC will also work but have no side marker holes. Stay away from 69-72 Chevy as these have a recesses lip to accomodate the more upright grille used by this marque in these years.

All doors interchange, but 72 doors are not designed for the pre-72 bolt on inner door panels

Another difference with doors...Window regulators are also different on the 72 doors.

GMC fenders are slightly different in the recess around the grill. Don't know about the hoods though. If you use chevy fenders, you'll need to use a chevy grill & core support. 67-68 chevy fenders, hoods, etc are interchangeable, 69-72 chevy fenders & hoods are interchangable. The grills & bumpers changed in '71. Door panels are different on '72s.
