Shiny new pieces....

Got these today....Let the cutting begin. We start tomorrow.

and the new trans was finished a couple weeks ago.....

The axle uses the Explorer discs which have the drum e-brake located internally...nice and clean.

Ford right? 8.8? One of my Jeep buds put a 8.8 high pinion in the back of his rig. He loves it.

Looks sweet. Nothin like new steel.

may I ask how much that rear end cost you? I'm looking at options for the 12-bolt rear on my truck

its a 9" from currie enterprises....$2300

Most importantly its a custom width, I eliminated the 6 lug, eliminated the low gears, moved from drum to discs, and the axle came with everything but the gear oil, the e-brake cables, hoses, brake pads all ready to go. Im usually more of a junkyard kind of guy, but too many benefits added up and made me splurge a little.

Is that blood all over the tranny? You didn't pay an arm and leg for it and bleed all over it getting it home did you?
