will my wheels fit

i have a 68 swb I'm looking to tuck 18.5 tires in the back on rear disc brakes. i looked at early wheel and they will make custom 15x14 rims. but the web site say it wont clear disc brakes with a backspace more than 4.5 inches is this true because the rims i will be ordering will have between 8.75 and 9.75 i have a few more measurements to do.

If their website says that,... I'm sure it's true.
You might call Wheel Vintiques and see what they say about their wheels.

Re: will my wheels fit

thanks i just don't understand why it wouldn't clear the disc because all I'm doing is adding more length on the out side of the rim. if that makes any sense.

Re: will my wheels fit

Must have a clearance issue with the disc brake caliper,... that they don't have with a brake drum.
