Question, I have a 1976, is a 1979 the same?
I have a project build I have been working on for the past year and I need some parts to finish it up. I also need to see an intact engine as a guide to confirm where everything goes so I thought I would buy a $800 1979 3/4 ton Chevrolet 4 door donor truck. My question is, is this truck and my 1976 GMC 1 ton the same under the hood and transmission? Both are 454's and turbo 400's. This is just the easiest way for me to finish my project.

There may be a few differences in the wiring, but should be similar enough to get you going.
