since 08/01 rear end, tranny, motor are toast
I bought this 72 BB C20 Highlander to have as a back up DD to my 69 LWB. The rear end exploded around 08/01. I got that replaced and back on the road around the end of October and the same week the tranny goes out. I got around to getting the tranny replaced about a month ago(stole it from the SWB). Then on the way home from work last night I think the motor bit the dust. This truck has been a real pain in the arse. I am almost tempted to drop in the big block that is already built for my SWB and have another motor built fot the SWB. This 72 C20 truck is not near as straight as the 69 C10 but I think it drives better so I would prefer for it to be the #1 DD. I was hoping the next round of cash would finish of the SWB.Rant off.

I say put the BB in the 72 and make it the #1 DD. Build another engine for the 69 and move forward, IMHO LWB trucks do drive and ride better for DD!
