Re: New Seats installed
I put `97 chevy truck seat in mine with electric air adj lumbar. simple install because the seat belts from the `97 bolted to the floor. I used the shoulder harness also since the cab was drilled for them.I put the gas tank under the bed.

Re: New Seats installed
Go with 99 GMC/Chevy and up for quick and easy. Seats belts integrated and just drill the holes for the bolts. It took me about an hour to install mine. You will need some help tightening the center bolts. Hook up the power and then ride ! Post any questions and I will try to answer.

Re: New Seats installed
None of the holes lined up but they are 3 separate pieces and sit in perfect. All I did was put in the center section first and got it where I wanted it. The inside seat bolts bolt through the same holes as the center section so it was real easy to do. I was going to take pictures but it went so fast I kind of forgot.

Re: New Seats installed
They ride nice. I'm 6`3" and we've taken 2 trips of 400+ miles one way and no cramping. They do sit about an 1" higher than the stock seat. But for my long legs that was a plus and they don't cut into the back of my wifes legs as she's 5'6".

Re: New Seats installed
Robbie,
They sit great, they feel like they belong in the truck, just a tad higher than the bench I can measure if you like. I also like the look of Beufords 97, my thoughts are I wanted something that looks like it belongs in the cab, thats why I went with mine, i didnt drill any holes in my cab, dont want to. I want it to look clean. Some of the seats just dont look right, slide rails sticking out ect, but use what you can to best fit your needs. I can tell you that with 4, 6 inch pieces of 1/8 angle and a 5/16 drill bit with 12 grade eight bolts, washers, and a little patience, you can have a nice seat set up. (And a donor Dodge will help too ) Mine also has the adj lumbar. Smitty

Re: New Seats installed
Not to cheap but reasonable, I will be going with this company. Still deciding which ones. They also have brackets for our trucks.

Re: New Seats installed
If you click the seats you want, at the bottom of the page they have all the brackets. It is a direct bolt it. I Think under 50 bucks. You can get electric, lumbar, heat.....

Re: New Seats installed
When I do the newer seats with integrated belts I weld 2" x 1/8" plates to the floor and weld nuts to those as well to make install a one-man job.

Re: New Seats installed
Good thing I saw this thread first was just about to make a thread about seats, but you answered all my questions.
I am looking to get a bench seat with a center console for my 67, but dont need all the electric stuff, cause it will be a off road truck If you dont mind, how much did you guys pay for your seats?

Re: New Seats installed
Nothing fancy but very comfortable and cheap.$15 at the scrap yard.Out of 90 something chevy pickup.front 2 bolts went in factory holes.had to drill 1. hole on each side for the rear.Used 1/2'' thick x 1" wide wooden shim to make seat sit level temporary until I can pickup a couple small aluminum blocks.Sit a little higher than factory bench.
