1965 AC vent repair

Plastex worked out great for repairing my AC vent corner that was broken. I just got to finish it up. It seems to be very strong and it's suppose to sand and drill ok.

Re: 1965 AC vent repair

Thanks for sharing, I've never heard of Plastex before. Let us know how it holds up after it's finished up and installed. I always use JB Weld for everything. It would be nice to have an alternative if there's something better for different applications.

Re: 1965 AC vent repair

The manufacturer claims that it chemically bonds to the plastic and is just as strong as the rest of the piece. I am believing it to this point.

Re: 1965 AC vent repair

Got the Plastex finished up and the vent balls back from being chromed by Chrome Tech USA. Everything turned out great and ready to paint. the left half of the hole in the left side is Plastex, but I colored black while fitting the screws.
