Had a 50/50 chance
I was in the exit lane headed home from work when I heard the distinct sound of a bad a$$ engine reving up.. of course I look around and its a awesome orange shortbed with a nice cowl and a 90 GMC grille... I wanted to get a better look at it becuase it looked real nice. So I dont exit, rather make my way to a lane beside him.. when I made it behind him.. I'm like... theres a good reason why he needs the 12.5" mickeys... I was in 2nd about 60 ish and usually thats good spot... dang he pulled on me like a champ...(im rather in stock trim) Now I'm going to look into getting a 6.2 , change the crank sproket, timing cover and throttle body so I can use the 5.3 harness and 4l60e... hope we meet up at a car meet sometime see what hes got done.
Clint

Cool. Wonder who he is? Where were you?
On a similar note---I was in the mustang tonight and an Evo challanged me. I didn't really bite, because I could hardly see. My windows were fogged since I just left my house. Luckily I didn't bite, couse a state trooper was 1/8 mile away. What part on town are you in anyway?

Re: Had a 50/50 chance
Toss the 6.2's rotating assembly and drop a 4" arm in there, those heads are actually a bit large for the 6.2 but really wake up as a stroker. I've seen more than one pull 600+ on an engine dyno with a very streetable cam.

Re: Had a 50/50 chance
damn now i wanna ride around tonight and count squarebodies lol. there are alot around me for some reason, im near Hobby Airport. Ive seen some really nice ones, but not this one youre talking about.
there is one ive had my eye on, but still can never get up close to it, its on like some 22" asanti wheels or better. with a nice two tone blue paintjob that glimmers like no lowrider paintjob ive ever seen. i mean im always so far away from it when i spot it and its always gleaming hard when i see it n movin fast. I dont even try to catch it, my bicycle is faster than my truck lol.
