Clutch Linkage Parts: Found!
Hi,
I just went through some pain finding parts for my clutch linkage, it is an old ball and pinion type linkage. I thought some others might want to avoid this pain if their linkage is going out. It was hard to find the z-bar espicially. I attached a picture file to go with my links. This is the hardest one to find, the z-bar: From American Classic Truck Parts http://www.americanclassic.com/asp/d...ype=to&exyear= I suggest CTH-11 (z-bar). From LMC I suggest part numbers: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=124 32-6010 (1) 30-0901 (4) qty 2 30-1702 (5) 30-1602 (7) 32-6124 (8) 32-6128 (9) 30-2392 (10) 30-3104 (11) 30-0695 (12) 30-0697 (13) 30-0827 (14) 30-3160 (spring return) My Truck: 1971 Chevy C20 Pickup camper special 350 V8 engine. I have a four on the floor shifter, and a clutch with mechanical linkage. |

Your are not kidding how hard it is to find these parts. Finding an original one is like digging for gold.. I finally did and even had to modify it to work for me because of my headers. I recommend if anyone has spares of any of these parts,, never get rid of them..

Re: Clutch Linkage Parts: Found!
I just had a z-bar on the parts board. Just waiting on the money to arrive so I can ship it.

Re: Clutch Linkage Parts: Found!
Ya, they are an inteseting little part. Glider, what truck do you have, the lower arm is way over very close to the upper, is that the modification you had to make?
I also always thouhgt it was a little funny how many things only have a little codder pin holding them off from disaster (like that push rod on the z-bar). It seems to work though.
