Re: most original 60-66 truck in existence?

I got this 1961 GMC from a guy who says it has been in a barn for 15 years. It has factory power steering and only 45,000 miles on it...with a 305 big block V6 and 3 speed on the tree. All the rust you see is surface rust and thats about it! Yep the picture makes it look ruff and does it no justice......but its all there. I can't wait to get started on this old GMC.

I seen another member use clr and a scotch pad clean all the rust off.

hmmm....didn't think about that...thanks for the advice ..... going to try to start out with scotchbrite pads and clr....hoping that I dont have to take it all the way down to the metal....Name:  dwdw.jpg

Spray the whole thing down with phosphoric acid.
Rinse, and let dry.
Then Clear Coat.
