Can Anybody Tell Me....

.....where the wiring harness for the rear lighting comes thru/attaches to the fire wall? I have the wires coming along the driver's side frame rail and terminating at a spot just forward of the fire wall.
The reason I may be confused with this (even after looking at the wiring diagram) may have something to do with the fact that the frame and front clip are '71 and the cab's '68. I don't know.

Thanks much.

Re: Can Anybody Tell Me....

I think it runs out from the area where the accelerator pedal bolts to the firewall...i think there's a cluster of 3 holes above the accelerator rod hole...one's for the wiper hoses to the motor, one's for the oil pressure lines, and one's for the wiring harness headed to the back....there should also be a clip on one of the bolts of the accelerator pad mount on the exterior as well...use this to clip the wiring harness to as it turns under the truck going back....hope this helps

Re: Can Anybody Tell Me....

I pulled mine out last week and it came to the circled area. There is a rubber bung on the end of the harness the keeps it snug in the firewall. My cab is also a 68.

Re: Can Anybody Tell Me....

This picture sucks, but you can see where the harness terminates in recessed portion of the firewall.

Re: Can Anybody Tell Me....

Mine's a 72 so it may be a little different but I'm not sure.

Re: Can Anybody Tell Me....

The one Dynomutt shows is exactly the hole I was talking about....the accelerator hole for the 72 is square because it was cable....for the 67-70 cabs it is the larger hole that dave has circled which was for the rod type carb connection....
