73-87 a-arms to 67-72 truck
Has any one put a 73-87 stock a-arms to a 67-72 chevy truck? I have a 71 cross member on a 67 truck but wish to put 73-87 a-arms for suspension. will the stock springs work with this and the spindles? also is it difficult?

73-87 arms will bolt right on a 71 crossmember.
Stock springs will work also. The spindle will have to be a 73-87 spindle to match the a-arm's 73-87 ball joints. Also the 73-87 outer tie rod is different from the 71-72 tie rod.

Are you using the steering linkage from the '71 also?

You need to use the 71 centerlink and inner tie rods.
If you have 71 spindles you can use the 71 outer tie rods. If you have 73-87 spindles, you need to use a 73-87 outer tie rod.

Quote:
The upper needs to be changed to the 71-72 ball joint, to work with a 71 spindle. But, the 73-87 lower ball joint will work with your 71 spindle.
