Re: Need just a little more drop
I think it looks great as is! Take a measurement of the rear now then put some wieght back buy the tailgate to get the extra drop and see if you still like it.

Re: Need to get the rear a little lower
Gringoloco is correct! I have a lowered monoleaf not a flip-kit so my axle is still under the leaf spring.

Re: Need to get the rear a little lower
The truck looks pretty good as is (as shown in your post picture). Leave is alone and spend the money on a chrome front bumper, neat steering wheel or some other cool details.

Re: Need to get the rear a little lower
Well I appreciate all your guys' replies but I think I will spend my money elsewhere on the truck

Re: Need to get the rear a little lower
Well today I went ahead and installed a c-notch and raised the front leaf spring hangers. The answer to the question of how much drop you get by raising the hangers 2 inches is you get 1 1/4 of drop by doing so. Thank you so much Keith Seymore. He was a big help in determining how much to raise the hangers to get the drop I wanted. So tell me what you think.

Re: Need to get the rear a little lower
Great info.
Thanks for getting back to us with your results. Very often,... members get things figured out,... but we never hear about it. Also,... what bolt-in notch did you use with your leaf spring frame? So what's next with your truck?

Re: Need to get the rear a little lower
I used the $99 CPP 1/4" thick bolt in c-notch. Bought it off Ebay. Great deal $99 shipped to my door, well plus tax of course.

Re: Need to get the rear a little lower
I think next will be to tackle some much needed things like new windshield with new seal and trim. The last owner took the trim out for some reason. Also door glass runs, scrapers, you know the windows rattle horribly.
I have also acquired a couple of extremely straight bed sides, no bondo and in all original paint. Mine now are so full of bondo that when I pull them off they will probably shatter if I drop them.
