Jag S-Type Colorado road trip
Flew to Denver last Thursday to pick up a black 2000 S-Type, 91k miles, Tri Five forum member G.R. (Gary) gave me a ride from airport to Ft Collins, great guy, drove right back overnight, made Tulsa Fri morning and stopped to visit my brother for a few hours, had a ride along that helped driving. Headed out again about 4pm, dark soon so didn't get to see any scenery in Arkansas, Lousiana or Mississippi. Stopped a couple times for naps, made it to Florida Saturday morning about 6, and crashed most all day LOL.
Trouble free ride, although once home I found a slight coolant leak on the overflow bottle return line at a plastic tee, which broke while I was examining it, glad it waited. Replaced it with a reliable brass tee, the old tee had big plastic molded 'clamps' on 2 sides, and a hose clamp on the other, what a goofy setup. Only problem with the car is a dented rear chrome bumperette, wife loves it, she wanted a black one and that was the one of the few black ones I found with a 3.0 and under 100k miles. It's a pretty car, even if it has a F*rd engine.
