Trucks! did do a show on it. You can watch it on demand here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RCNPIA
Classic Trucks did it here http://www.classictrucks.com/tech/cl...uck/index.html Early Classic did it here http://www.earlyclassic.com/tech.asp...20No!-Shortbed There is a few threads on it and members that did it on the forum too, the articles and video show you where and how much to cut. Some of them cut in different areas but they all take a total of 20 inches out of the frame. 8 right off the back and 12 usually under the cab where the frame rails are straight. Check our FAQ forum. There are a couple of well written articles there too.

Re: where to cut the frame to make a long wheel base to a short wheel base?
When I cut mine I tok 12 inches out ahead of the rear cab mount (mover cab mounty back 12 inches) and then took 6 inches off teh rear of the frame.
I chose to make the cut ahead of the rear cab mount because the frame is uniform and straight at that point. Put in an 18 inch plate on teh inside of teh frame to form a box frame centered over the cut. Left the crossmember in place and put in a one peice driveshaft. Made for a very easy job and great result. regards Luc
