body lift / throttle
I'm doing a 2" body lift on a '70 GMC 4x4. I was wondering if anyone out there has sone the same. If so, how did you get the throttle linkage to work? Did it act the same after or was the throw shorter. The only way I've been able to get it set up, there's only about 2" of travel at the pedal. Haven't run it yet but it seems like it will be very touchy. Also did you have to cut the clutch linkage hole bigger in the firewall. Any help much apreciated.

I did the 2" on my 70. I didnt notice a difference in the throttle. It did interfere with my 90deg distributor boots.
Got an auto so no clutch issues. Had to trim the doghouse for my 205 shifter.

I just did a 2" on my '72 and I haven't hooked the carb up yet but It looks like it might be fine, we'll find out soon.
On the clutch linkage, yes, I had to do some trimming to the clutch linkage hole inthe firewall. Nothing a little sawzall won't take care of.

Ok I got the clutch and throttle sorted now ho 'bout steering? Did you have to anything there? I feel a "bump" in the steering wheel. It's been converted to power steering.

Here's what I did. Cost a little over $100. I heard that you could use the steering u-joints off of late 80s-early90s chevy vans. Could save some money that way. I think I read that on CK5 BB.
