Re: how low
Honestly, I would do a 4/6 Drop if I were you, you should be good. I dropped my friends truck, hes running a 265/40/22 tire its just about 31inches tall I did a 3/3 drop on it and its not low enough there is enough room up front on his truck to drop it another inch and not run into problems. The rear could also come down 3 more without a problem. Here are some pictures of his truck after we got done with it...

Re: how low
Im pretty sure a 265/35/22 has the same outside diameter as your stock 235/70/15 tires and I have a 5/5 drop on my 85, you can clear no problem. As far as the bolt in C Notch, You dont "need it" I drive mine without it in and you still have 3-4" of travel, but if you do put it in you won't ever hit

Re: how low
thanks im slowly learning and liking my truck more and more... also wanted to add that i use my truck to haul my bike so it has 400+lbs in the bed all the time and for long distance on occasion... somtimes 800+ lbs when i take 2 bikes.. will this effect it..

Re: how low
You could always add an airbag helper kit for the rear, that way you could still haul stuff and not have to worry about weight and the axle hitting the frame.
