Measurement for mirror holes?

I'm using these mirrors. Can anyone give me a measurement guide to drill the holes? (how far back from the door edge, how far down from the window) ?

Re: Measurement for mirror holes?

hye i want to share somthin with you .... my dad decided to run those mirrors ....cool looking miriors! so we buy em (repop) and install them were the could be seen and then we take them for a test drive .....cant see out of the passenger mirror for scheisse! (germn for sh%$) and on top of that it has almost been a year and they are already surface rusting!

2cnd story: my friend has a 72 4wd swb chevy he has them on his truck to ....anyways hes driving and he has his hand hangin out side and the mirror head fals off of the arm and luckily he catches it and puts it in side so get ready for those things to happen.....

Re: Measurement for mirror holes?

I just put them on my 68. Unfortunately, as already said, the passenger side won't adjust in far enough to see down the side of the truck. I am going to work on a wedge to go between it and the door metal to see if I can make it usable.

www.outintheshop.com

Lots of info for factory hole locations, including the 71/72 sport mirrors you have pictured.

Factory original Buick mirror. Basically the same style as the topic mirror. The only way you can see out of that style of mirror is to be sitting in the passenger seat. They don't adjust in far enough. Also you have to stop and look at if you will even be able to see around the wing window bar
