Sports Mirrors mounted on 67-70's.

Can the sports mirrors be mounted on 67-70 doors? The link below to the LMC catalog shows a sports mirror advertised as "This Mirror Can Be used on 1967-69 Trucks" Of course when I called LMC they couldn't tell me how. Has anyone done this without having to drill and fill holes?

I used them on my 67. The base sits a little off but not too bad. I can take a picture this weekend if you need one. It does cover all 3 holes.

Thanks for the reply Slider. So you didn't need to drill any extra holes in your door? Some pics might help if you get a chance.

Here is a pic of the factory mounting location for 71/72 sport mirrors. Note there is a difference between the RH and LH locations.

The doors are the same as far as mounting whatever mirror made for 67-72 trucks. They all mount differently,so there will be different holes. You can't get away with changing mirrors without making new holes and leaving extra ones behind.

SpecialK is absolutely right. I had to drill another hole but it did hide the original bottom hole. Here are a couiple of pics of how the mirrors sit.
