Soft top help needed!!
I just picked up a new soft topper and the instructions and pictures leave ALOT to be desired.
I am at the winshield header and am scratching my head??? The aluminum piece that they send in the kit with all the buttons says to install an 1/8" above the windshield gasket. I currently have my windshield out and need the top on so that i can build my cage to fit underneath it. A decent picture in the instructions would go a LONG way, but all I got are some pics from about 20' away. So can someone give me a picture of what you did for the windshield. Thanks a ton.

Re: Soft top help needed!!
I'd call them for tech support.
That photo isn't a first gen Blazer. The metal strip on my STC Fastrack sits about .5" above the drip rail. I just found the center of the windshield frame and laid the strip in place how I thought it looked best. I used blue tape to hold it in place while I drilled the holes (drilling the holes was painful!) there was a board member who was going to make a bracket that would bolt to the factor top mounts so you don't need to drill holes. I don't remember who it was though.

Re: Soft top help needed!!
I have that exact strip, but my windshield frame looks nothing like that.

Re: Soft top help needed!!
The picture above was a part that I built for my 71 k5 .It was alot of work .The mold is intact in my garage and I offered it for sale but nobody really clued into what its use was for till now.I told others that it would be nice to have a compisite shop spray it with a chop gun a bunch of times for 5 or 6 pieces to keep the cost down .I'm still looking for the shop to do it for me and a list of those who want one for their Blazer I dont.I dont really want a full time job out if it but if I can help other Blazer buddies out without losing my shirt on the deal I ok with that too . I also mentioned that shipping would be a pain in the but because of Canadian /US Duties and shipping sothats pretty much were I dropped the idea ................Your thoughts Regards Rob
