Look What the Blazer Dragged Home

My 16 year old son has wanted a 76 Camaro for years. I found this 79 for a decent price and told him he'll get it if he graduates from high school with at least a 3.0 average.

In the meantime, it gives us something to work on together.

Oh, and towing on the freeway with the Blazer in rain and snow isn't all that fun.

Looks like a nice father and son project. Hopefully he will keep his grades up too!

I had my dads reg cab longbox gmc....I still managed to put too many people in it lol-- even with a flat fiberglass top lol--- (A freind dared my freind to get in the back while we did some doughnuts in a snowy parking lot-- ahhhh the stupid things we do when we first get freedom in the form of a vehicle!)

older and wiser now lol

Your son wanted a 1976 Camaro? Why a '76? My first car was a '79 Camaro, but I really didn't like that 74-77 version....

I don't think it wouldve mattered how many seats my first truck had. I did stupid things just like the rest of you did. I doubt much has changed.

You know, the why was his own deal. He's happy about the 79 though.

Oh, yeah. It has a 250 straight six/THM 350, so that should cut down on the racing around a bit. And it runs, but it needs some work before we put it on the road. It runs well enough that I can let him get in it and drive it around the church parking lot across the street, just to keep the goal fresh in his mind.
