What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems?
What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems on a truck that's not apart. Removing inner fenders still leaves very little room to work to reach the rear stud and nut on emblem. I'm hoping someone has come up with a trick or tip to do this without tearing apart a truck and fenders.

Long arms and a long 3/8 wrench. It can be done, but it isn't any fun at all.

Re: What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems?
Use the before mentioned technique coupled with a gear wrench type wrench -once on you can go quickly at least...

Re: What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems?
No, they all suck basically. Those may even be a little tougher because of the 2 extra studs to work around...

Re: What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems?
I know it's a pain to take them off, but if you just loosen the wiper cowl and then the rear upper and lower fender bolts you should be able to get in that way....better than killing your arm doing it the other way and will let you clean out that area

Re: What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems?
Taking it off is the easy part. Trying to get the nut started on the new emblem is the difficult part. If you get it off, I would a barrel nut/clip to put it back on. You can still use the nut on the outside one, but I would use a barrel clip on the one that is difficult to reach.

Re: What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems?
Use a 3/8" gear wrench to get in the tight space, and ratchet the nuts off. You will need to loosen your front fenders from the rear...which also requires you to remove the cowl to access the top bolts to the fenders, and the bottom rear bolt as well, and the inner fender mounting bolt that attaches it to the cab. Let the fender "pop" out a little bit...don't force it, it will stick out naturally on its own. This is needed for some space to access the rear mounting studs on the emblems. I have done it this way on my trucks, and every time I find salvageable emblems in the yards. It is a somewhat time-consuming process Hope this helps.

Re: What is the easiest way to replace Cheyenne emblems?
Now you know why there are emblems with broken studs.
