Re: Silly Little Bed Question "Wide Bed's"
I have found that the term short wide bed is a regional thing. It seems to be most commonly used in the South. What its referring to is a fleetside bed. For whatever reason it was used to differentiate the difference between a short stepside and a short fleetside.

Re: Silly Little Bed Question "Wide Bed's"
LOL so a show of hands who's confused yet??? If you are...BOHICA
you need to put spacing between your acronyms otherwise they all run together and can be taken as different meanings...for example... Quote:
but I could have interpreted that as 67 C10 short wheel base custom side trim big block chevy big back window (and the last B to make me go crazy) But we still have the confusion of SWB meaning short wide bed or short wheel base. Just look at the differences between these two for my truck 66 C10 LWB SS SBW I6 3SPD STD 66 C10 LSB SBW I6 3SPD STD 66 C10 long wheel base step side small back window I6 3 speed standard trim |

Re: Silly Little Bed Question "Wide Bed's"
I agree with you there. I have an old GMC ad here at my desk and it refers to "Fendersides" and "Widesides"...

Re: Silly Little Bed Question "Wide Bed's"
lol, I think the original question was something about wide beds. I think a lwb and swb should only stand for wheel base. Fleet or step sides are just that. I guess the whole wide bed term makes since but not needed imo. Pretty funny though.......
You guys are COOL
