Front drum brake help!
I just purchased a 69 c10 shortbed, and the front passenger wheel had a horrible grinding sound coming from it. Well, tearing it apart today, i found NO outter wheel bearing. To the question, I can't find any exploded view of a front drum brake wheel bearing assembly. Can anyone tell me the order and names of the parts, assuming it's a bare spindle with backing plate and drum brake hardware already attached? like from the backing plate, up to the front castle nut. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Front drum brake help!
Would tearing apart the drivers side help you answer your question?
I recommend at least looking at it to verify it's OK. Sounds like it's time for a disc brake upgrade,...

Re: Front drum brake help!
I hear you about the disc upgrade, but i'm not going to do that for a while. Because I have so much that would need to be done, convert to 5 lug, new wheels and tires, suspension kit, blah blah! I did tear the other side apart, but the problem is I don't know what the parts are called really, so it's making it hard to find the replacement parts. Thanks for the reply though! Love your truck, BTW.

Re: Front drum brake help!
order goes like this....grease seal, inner bearing, inner bearing race (pressed in hub), hub, outer bearing race (pressed in hub), outer bearing, slotted washer, castle nut. if the outer bearing was gone most likely you will need a hub as well and possibly a spindle...you can get the part numbers off the back side of drivers bearings

Unless you are one of those that never plan to convert to disc brakes, now is the most logical time to do it. Invest in the future, don't put a patch on the past.
