Nice truck, but ..........

I don't think so! After an 8 year restoration he at least could have got the hood lined up better and painted the master cylinder! Also looks like it has a lot more than 611 miles on "full restoration"

Again, nice truck, but the description seems a little exaggerated.

Hey Zumo,

That is a slick truck!

Alittle off topic question for you. I noticed you were from Waxahachie, TX. My wife's job is moving down to Dallas and we were looking at a house online in Red Oak. How is that town?

It's ok, Wax Is better I think. The water In Red Oak smells like poop. It's the sulfur in it. Shoot me an E-mail and I'll answer any question you have. I lived in Red Oak for a year. I've been in this area for a while. I also lived in Lancater.

What's your clue? Curious.

If it's the VIN rivets, they could have removed the tag for paint. Other than that I can't see what you see.

Hmm, it looks odd that there is full trim, including the top and bottom trim on the tailgate, but no trim around the tailights.

CPNE,

Look at the e-brake. 68 had the lever under the dash. That has the pedal like a 69 and up cab.

you can convert to the new brake pedal

foot brake could've being put on from a newer truck. why does everyone always have to say, "look it's missing this or that, it's not the right year?" just admire the truck as it is.....i sure would'nt mind having it.....

I saw this one last week in Arlington.
It has all of the rare options including the original three point seat belts.
It was nice to look at and the owner knew a lot about these trucks.
He said that he sold a 72 BB SWB very high optioned truck for somewhere close to $30 grand.
He also has a 50th Anniversary with an Inline 6 for sale.

Have fun

This truck is across town (about 15 minutes) away! Excellent truck but who is going to drive it?? I want something I can take down a gravel road! It's a car dealers rig in case you had not surmised this from the auction. Also this baby has had many little tweaks as you are all noticing...and guessing about.

Oh, I by the way, I HATE RESERVE AUCTIONS!!

I would'nt have it, incorrect radiator cap. Steering wheel off a newer truck! H I D E O U S !!! But seriously folks, that truck is beautiful and I would agree it is indeed one of the nicest 68's I have ever seen and I have seen quite a few. I bet it goes for well over 10K IMHO.

67-68 had the e-brake with a handle. 69-72 had the e-brake on the foot.

71-72 have a pressure relief valve on the pillar right above where the 4" X 3" vin plate goes. -> this is what gives it away to me.

i'm not saying that it isn't a nice truck. it is, and i'm pretty sure it is well worth what he's askin for it. i'm just saying that if he (anybody) is going to offer something, especially from an 8 year restoration project, that they need to be upfront and proper about what they are selling. that's all
