did they quoted the rules out of the rulebook ? if so a copy of it might be nice , rules can be interpreted in different ways and that might help you in courth should it come that far
in the netherlands we have an organisation above the one that does the aprovals and checkups you can take youre complaints too if you think you been treated unfair (like they say the shocks are worm so they can make money mounting new ones while you know there only 2 months old ), they allso do inspections at the garages doing the yearly checkup of the car (safety thing here checking for steeringslack shocks brakes ligths and stuff like that ) to see if there corrupt or slacking on the job in favor of more checkups a day
