has anybody cut down their frame before, and what does this entail??? Is it worth it???

Yep I have. 12 " under the cab and 8" off the back Move the cab mount back. Yep it's that easy. But then you need to find a short box. . There have been tons of post about this subject.

Dont forget shortening the driveshaft and brake lines and parking brake cables and exhaust. I removed 6 inches from the rear of my frame but my truck seems to be the exception. Most say 8 off the back.
