lost warning chimes

I have an 06 1500 crew that i have recently put an alpine dvd, navigation head unit in, (professional install) the problem that i have is that i no longer have any warning chimes, door open, low fuel, buckle seat belts, etc. Sounds funny im sure that I would be wanting those noises, but no matter how anoying or whatever i prefer my vehicles to be in 100% working order. I have talked to the installer about the problem and they have replaced the interface module, and still cant figure out what is causing the issue. From what i have read on here the guys that are on here KNOW what they are talking about. Thanks in advance for anyone that may have an idea where to start!!!!

Re: lost warning chimes

Maybe its a "professional" problem Sounds like a wiring problem.

Re: lost warning chimes

You can find the manual of how it should be hooked up here, unless they used a different brand.

Re: lost warning chimes

The factory radio generates the audible warnings through the left front speaker (except Bose), On Bose equipped trucks the audio amplifier is the chime producer.

Switch back to the factory radio if you want the "chime" function to work.

Re: lost warning chimes

Clinebarger, The purpose of the interface module is to keep all of your chimes.
