Diamond Plate Bed
I am thinking about going with Diamond Plate in my bed. Any one have pics or any info.( cost compared to wood.)

I went steel floor on the longhorn, much cheaper than wood! All the box cross sills were layed out in 2x3, & 2x2 1/8" wall tubing. The 1st 1 ft in is layed in 12 guage smooth sheet. The center has not been done yet, but will be 14 guage tread plate(diamond plate), to keep the weight down. I hope you are thinking of aluminum diamond plate. I recall adding steel diamond plate to a one ton dodge at work. This old beater was a flatbed, but that steel diamond plate was so damn heavy the poor truck could bearly move out its own way.

The tread plate on my flatbed (6 1/2' x 8' X 1/8" thick weighs 300lbs). Steel plate wont hurt you on weight......unless you go 1/4 thick or better! crazyL

Got one for my 65 GMC stepside (like 383 Stroker"s) for $140.

Yep, I got a 4'x8' sheet for $160, I also got smooth stock sheet aluminum for the side walls.
Walla, a complete polished bed liner for $270, and looks a HELL of alot better than most bedliners
