cadillac taillights

anyone have pictures of cadillac taillights on a 72 or any other custom taillights. looking to have the whole tailgate and rollpan welded together as 1 unit and looking for pics of anything else custom besides the led strips. really like the cadillac taillight look on the 88 chevys

Re: cadillac taillights

This is just my opinion, but I haven't seen any Caddy taillights that fit the way I think they should, in order to look like they weren't cobbled into place. I agree that they can be made to look good on an '88-98, so no argument.

But, this body style just doesn't really lend itself very well to adapting other taillights and then looking "good". What I do like is the treatment that Musclerodz had that has a billet insert that defines the perimeter of the lens. It's subtle and yet different.

My opinion again, but it's hard to improve on the original design.

Re: cadillac taillights

I didn't like the old style lights for my truck, I always thought they looked out of place. I like the Cadillac lights, but I didn't want to cut into my fenders and bed sides. Also, I wanted to keep the narrow step side sport bumper in place. I found these cat's eye lights and cut them into the bumper. I like the look of these.

Re: cadillac taillights

That's a nice treatment. Some folks run the '78-87 El Camino/G-body wagon rear bumper. Not a lotta room for dressing it up, tho.
