C/30 truck

hello all, I'm new to the board and own a 71 3/4 ton truck. I was going to lower it and i have all the drop suspension parts. I have always loved the 60 to 66 trucks and found this c/30 on ebay, my question is will my suspension parts fit this truck?

I can't help you with your question but welcome from another Iowa boy...

I'm not up on my earlier trucks, what year is that?

Re: C/30 truck

my drop spindles and springs are made by mc gaughy's, i just reread the ebay ad and guess this truck has rear leafs springs so i would have to do something different on the rear.

That would be it. I like it... I think the '66 and '67-'72 1/2 ton frames are pretty much the same but I just don't know about the 1 tons. There may be some info over on the '60-'66 forum too.

You might want to check the IOWA forum out. It's not real busy but we post there if we have anything going on.

Welcome to the board!!!
<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>
I hope you don't think I'm being rude but,I would leave that one be. It's just too darned cool and a rarely seen model. Add to that the fact that it has survived unmolested for 45 years...that's Chevy Truck history right there.
So,to answer your question...I sure hope not.

Re: C/30 truck

Man, that is one unusual truck! I know where there is a '57 set up the same way with 4spd/261 engine/trans. that thing would be oh so cool with an early 292! That's one I'd keep stock. Best wishes,

Les
