Went to Junk Yard Today
Went to Desert Valley Auto Parts in Phoenix today and spent my morning crawling around. The had a 69 burb that was not slated for parting and I talked them into letting me take some interior trim pieces (two headliner bows). There was also another 69 in their 'tri-five' pen and I got a 3rd door sil plate and 3 more headliner bows. This truck had front and middle seat in it ( middle seat full width one).

Interesting...
Do you pull your own parts, or do they have to do it for you? What did they charge for those parts?

Re: Went to Junk Yard Today
Yeah, I just found out there's a cable show of their yard, I will have to watch a few episodes. Their yard is a 2 dollar fee to wander around and find what you want and then you get a parts puller guy to pull them off for you. They don't allow tools in the yard, not a pick a part type place, but their method ensures that stuff doesn't get thrashed more than it already is.
I saw 3 burbs and probably 15 or so 67-72 pick ups. They have a butt load of 55.2-59 trucks too. There was an awesome TaskForce tow truck. Oh, I paid 80 bucks for all of it.

Re: Went to Junk Yard Today
Nice finds. I've been to their yard a few times. Most recently was early in 2008 and I remember that Suburban in the gated off pen with some other cars.
