Cowl hood

I'm getting ready to order a cowl induction hood. I want fiberglass, no steel. I also, want one without the ridge down the center. Does anyone know where I can find this? I think I've found one at www.usbody.com . It's the 2" Indy cowl hood. Has anyone ever dealt with these guys or know anybody who has?

Here's a pic of the one I'm talking about. In the center it is a valley instead of a ridge. It looks like the one Greg had on his truck. Speaking of Greg where has he been?

Have you looked at www.eharwood.com? I know they redid their 82-92 camaro hoods without the peak, maybe the truck ones are similar? The quality is very good on their hoods, in my experience.

USBody has Excellent quality stuff. I have a tilt front end from them. Their hood are finished on the underside, I don't think Harwoods are.

Whatever you do, don't get Unlimited hoods! Their quality is not that great, the undersides are not finished, and the hood had a bow in it...had to fab bars to pull it straight.

I had a Harwood on my S-10 blazer and the quality of it was excellent. As far as the Unlimited, you get what you pay for huh.

I saw in a magazine that you would probaly have to change hood springs if you go from steel to fibreglass

I think that mine is Harwood. I picked it up from a local rod and custom shop for $350, and no its not finished on the underside. The hood is relatively heavy and I have not had any problems regarding the springs. I havent heard of the other companies, but that is not saying much.

Harwood also has the low tension springs necessary when you go to a fiberglass hood. I know the 82-92 Camaro hood is finished underneath (quite nicely, I might add) but I have not seen one of theit truck hods. I ordered the last one I got from Summit, if that helps. They are made in Tyler (about 2 hours from DFW) but they will not let customers pick them up there.
