Re: Stockton Wheel Closed????
if they were as crappy to do business with as the many many stories I've heard about them then I'm surprised they lasted this long.

Re: Stockton Wheel Closed????
The message is on the home page. I don't know what all complaints people had with Stockton, but it is truly sad to see an icon from way back forever go. They were "The" true custom wheel maker.
So long Wheel Toots...

Re: Stockton Wheel Closed????
I just copied and pasted this message from a google search. Hope this helps explain.
I just found this on another web site... Check out #6 Stockton Wheel Closed for Business It says that "Frank Mauro Jr's death was reported in the paper today (Stockton Record). I used to work next door, father in law still does, and I guess Frank committed suicide yesterday. He had also stopped all shipping going in or out, and let on to his employees that buisness was shutting down, earlier in the week." Sorry for their loss. both times i was there, they were good to me and it didn't hurt to bring a old beat up Tonka dumptruck with me.

Re: Stockton Wheel Closed????
I thought that they would be in business forever. I believe they started out making Stage Coach Wheels. For a while, they were the only ones who made my all time favorite wheel for cars, the original GM Type 14 X 6 Chrome Reverse Wheel. Too bad a family member, or anyone else really, doesn't take over the business.

Re: Stockton Wheel Closed????
That's horrible. A thing like this is so hard on loved ones. Stockton Wheel was a legendary company. Now more memorable through this tragedy.
