bucket seats that fit!
The wife and I spent the day at the salvage yard looking for a set of bucket seats for HER chopped 51, we have a real nice set of buckets,(don't know what from ) looks like from a astrovan or something, both have armrests, and power driver adjustment, with headrest.
My head touches the roof!, so, off we went. ..just wanted to share what we found that would work.. PT cruiser,,some have armrest, some don't but a little thick at the back for us big guys Ford explorer--, no armrests, but a tall back bucket.. Saturn car--, very low for chopped trucks and a thin back to get a little more leg room Chrysler Sebring !!! our winner!!,----it has a headrest but that can be removed before recovering( we don't want the headrest showing in the rear window) it sits low..9-10 inches from floor to top of seat compared with stock 13" or tall van type seats, they are both manual controls, with a lumbar adjust, and it is thin at the back. we looked at 300's and concordes, but the seats were very thick at the back which used up precious room. hope this helps someone narrow it down... |

Re: bucket seats that fit!
Skip-
I used some leather buckets out of a 93 Nissan Ultima. These were also the same seats that Robbie Alverz used in his 48 Subruban named Impression. I just need to get them recovered in black. I also removed the head rests because I don't like when you can see them in back window. Good luck Marc

Re: bucket seats that fit!
I used bucket seats out of a 82 Blazer low back and the passenger seat tilts forward to get to the battery under the floor.
