manual to auto swap drive shaft info needed....

.. Morning peeps.. Im doing a swap from th e4spd manual to a th 350 short shaft.... . Im still needing the yoke for the th but im wondering if anyone has done the swap.. how much i need to take of the driveshaft.. its a two piece shaft... If anyone can give me a number and or tell me how to get this number It would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

tape measure..... Seriously. Take both pieces of the driveshaft down to the local driveline shop and a measurement, probably tailshaft to center of carrier bearing and have them make it the right length the first time

that is the absolute best way to get a driveshaft// to count on someone elses measurement is a great way to have the job done twice
