Are you gonna shorten the width or try it with the wheel offset, it was my understanding the newer frame were to wide?

I heard a guy did this and cut it down the middle then cut about 1 " off each half then welded it back together.I think it was over on stovebolt I seen it,I was thinking this route allso,camero sub is to low for me would like to keep mine stock or a coupla inches lower would be ideal.I'll see if I can find that thread surely some one else has seen it allso.

any updates? better photoswould really be nice. on a TF truck i would think the track width would be really close to the 81' 2wd. it's the wb. 114" vs 117" that would be my concern. get the cab and front sheetmetal on and relocate the rear springs instead of cutting frame.
