Another Center Bearing Question..
Not surprisingly my 72 C20 is making support bearing noise.
Since it's a daily driver, I wanted to order the parts before I took it apart. They only had the smaller 1/2 ton bearing, at the local parts store, so I wanted to order from one of the suppliers. This brings me to my question.. There's two diameters listed in the catalog. 1.3780" and 1.5748" How would I determine which one I need, without removing the part? I have the heavy duty rear leaf springs. J.

Re: Another Center Bearing Question..
If it's makin' noise... daily driver or not... you should just pull it an measure it. It will leave you stranded if not fixed.

I have to send away for it.. so is there a way to be sure of this..measuring it on the Truck? And what is the application for the 1.5" one? J.

Re: Another Center Bearing Question..
You'll be better off taking it to a driveline shop. They can press it off (instead of hammering) and they have the stuff on hand 9 times out of 10, plus, it's better stuff than what the parts stores will have.
