opinions, suggestions, feedback

ok boys lookin for some opinions, suggestions and feedback.

im going with a billet grill here soon and im up in the air about doing a regular billet grill or a phantom.

havent always been the biggest fan of the phantoms but lately ive seen some board members pull em off really nicely with the orginal chrome trim on there.

so from those of you out there with the phantom how happy are you with em? -may sound dumb...but i always wondered if you ever had any issues with obstruction of the lights?

and from those of you out there with the regular billet how happy are you with it?

thanks so much boys!(and my fellow ladies!)

Re: opinions, suggestions, feedback

Personally I'm not a fan of phantoms. I like headlights...

I'd be careful of how close the fins are together if you have the outside hood latch. My fingers just barely reach through to get to the lever.

Cool Re: opinions, suggestions, feedback

Second.

Just my opinion, if I'm driving it I don't want the headlights obscured.

Phantoms were cool in the 90s.

I dont think they were cool even in the '90's. go billet or stock. '89-'91 GMC ! coolest grill made, scientificly proven !

The coolest grille is the 73-74...Everybody's got them now...even Classic Parts...It's on the list for my '78.

As far as phantom grilles...I think they were played out by the time Vanilla Ice came out.

Re: opinions, suggestions, feedback

wow lotta hate for the phantom lol!
ive truthfully been leaning more towards the regular billet neways.
i would just keep my factory cuz i think it looks pretty clean but after a slight acident (trying to push my truck with my other truck into the back yard) my grille is cracked. still looks ok since i did some crafty super gluein and rattle canin. but i think she deserves a new one.
@jitterguy thats a bold claim there. lol was it a "double blind" scientific study?
