Re: pics of members 4x4's

^^ I hear you. My '85 was unmolested and a bit different, too. My plan was to put 11.50/32s on steel 8"ers with hubcaps. That's the beefiest tire that works w/o a lift. It's what we did on my son's '86 CUCV Blazer and I put on my '90 Blazer when it was new. But I discovered how tires took a ridiculous jump on price and that most companies have dropped 11.50/32s. So I went with plan B and robbed the lift/axles/tires off my retired Suburban. Oh well...I'm guilty of ruining a bone stock Jimmy.

Now to put the soft top on. Next step will be winch/bumpers/spare mount. When it needs tires (or as a second set as soon as I can afford it) I'll get 255/85,mount on a set of stock 3/4t wheels I powder coated white, and pop hubcaps back on. It'll look beefy stock that way. I'll have my tall skinnies and this set for flotation.

Man, that looks awesome. I'm a big fan of the tall skinny tires and hubcaps, too. What 255/85 tire are you planning to use?

Re: pics of members 4x4's

Thanks. No it was just a blue cab and rolling frame when my buddy bought it a few years back. He made it look the way it does now. Kinda funny though I also own a 71 C-20 with the same paint job just darker orange.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I'd lie to say the same to 61K10 about his truck!
