350 Fender Emblem Question

Were the engine size emblems on the fenders of these trucks solid or were they painted? Anyone have pictures of them the way they should be?

Solid, they bolt on I think, I am sure you can find some that are glue ons if you want. Sorry no Pics, at work right now.

I thought they were painted. Are they not chrome with a black back ground?
