Question 67 chevy manual to auto conversion

I am about to begin restoring a 67 chevy fleetside. Right now it has a 3 speed manual. I would like to put in a turbo 350 auto. Can anyone out there give me some advice and tips on this conversion.

is it a 250 or 292-up truck ? and does it have 3 speed tranny option M17 lisdted on the glovebox door ? and does it have any L codes for any engine option listed ? have to know all this to determine which 3 speed tranny you have right now, as there were two in 67 and 68 for the 2wd trucks, depending on engine.

if has 250 engine and no M17 then you will have to cut down the driveshaft roughly 3" shorter if you use a 6" tail tranny, and then weld on a 27 spline yoke IE th350 4 speed car, 700r4, thm200r4, th200, etc

if you use a 9" tail tranny hten youll have to cut the shaft down roughly 6"

if you have a 292 or larger engine thne you can stick in a th350 with 6" tail and no mods wil be neede for the driveshaft at all, will be a direct fit, no matter which 3 speed oyu have you stil have to find a 67-72 only auto trans crossmember and cut out the crossmember under the bellhousing thats there right now. replace radiator with one for an auto trans and go buy some brake tubing and rent or buy flare kit and cutter and make up a pair of cooling lines, youll probably have to recalibrate the speedo drive and drive gears in the tailhousing of the tranny ot keep the speedo correct, unless you happen to get a tranny that came out of a vehicle that had the same rear axle ratio and tire height as yours.

thats some info so far,
